I worked at Feeley & Driscoll, P.C. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Salary - They pay above market

    Cons

Micromanaging - Past employees have been fired because they have gone to workout in their lunch hour (coming and going monitored by HR).
Ethics - During my tenure, I witnessed, on a majority of clients, a practice of billing more hours to the client than actually worked. Some of those individuals are now partners.
Technical capabilities - The firm advertises as having a great breadth of accounting and tax talent for sophisticated clientele. However, the truth is that the majority of the employees are bookkeepers. Since the client base is largely unsophisticated construction firms, this skill set is fine, but the firm should be honest about its true capabilities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The firm really needs to look at itself in the mirror and pay attention to all of the negative press it gets in the market. It is known famously for the "easter parade" whereby the "bottom" ten percent is let go. I did not leave due to this, but witnessed it and know that the individuals let go were largely due to internal politics, than actual job performance.
