I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Pleasant physical environment, short commute, flexible work schedule, work from home option, good benefits package, good raises, good bonuses, good project work.

Cons

I feel unappreciated, management seems to only care about themselves advancing and I think they try to keep everyone's salaries low so they can get good bonuses... that is a bad perception of management even though I maybe completely wrong but nonetheless it is what it is. I've had to ask for promotions and more money rather than being rewarded for the hard work I do.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Average to Better-than-Average Benefits
    - Good Pay and Great Bonus Structure
    - Nice Office Environs
    - They Hire the Best Allowing for Efficiency in a True 9-to-5 Day (so people aren't overworked carrying others' workloads)

    Cons

    - While my team is fantastic, the overall culture of the company is very conservative and lacking in humor / comraderie. This is difficult as my (and many other) team(s) get moved and broken up to different locations, so you lose that cohesion.
    - I've seen that if you don't enter at a higher position, it may take a VERY long time to get promoted

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop shuffling / breaking up teams to different locations. The staff is so unhappy about mandatory changes / transfers and it breaks down the culture - I see this even as a new employee.

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Better pay than most call centers. Managers feeds the staff well by bringing in food/pizzas/treats.

    Cons

You better be a robot and repeat the script given to you. No deviation. And the "optional' overtime - if you are not working all the extra hours asked of you, it will be remembered.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lighten up on the call audits.
