I have been working at Fidelity Investments part-time (more than an year)

Pros

Fitness reimbursement; online training courses

Cons

You're position is not "confirmed" until after your 1 year anniversary but HR does not tell you that, until then, watch your back, they will look for ways to make your life miserable enough to make you want to quit or give an excuse you don't deserve a bonus. Full of bureaucracy, unless you're in the "in" crowd, you're pretty much on your own.
The workplace is like the Olympics, employees compete with each other to reach the gold medal, Don't expect you will get the kind of support you need from your peers or manager, it's not for the faint hearted.

I worked at Fidelity Investments as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Great environment to do design work, very flexible schedule, easy to stay in touch and share documents via conferencing system. Great team to work with.

    Cons

Relies too much on contractors that can be disposed of at will.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Avoid firing contractors days before Christmas even if you need to do budget cuts. It's bad enough to be hired and fired on an ad hoc basis.
