Need to be a Brown Noser

Defined Contribution Representative (Current Employee)
Durham, NC

ProsDecent benefits overall but more expensive than other firms in the industry. You will learn a lot if you know nothing about the business to begin with.

ConsOvercrowded, work area is smaller than an elementary school desk. Advancement is based on arbitrary targets and how much networking you can fit into your 30 min lunch. Previous education, experience and overall ability matter very little and can be detrimental as everybody starts in the same place. The entire organization has a culture where they have customers and most employees believing they are all about service and not profit.

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn what incentives really are. Candy and Pizza parties are not motivators to actual adult professionals. Earning raffle tickets for working overtime with a 2% chance of winning a trivial $50 gift card is insulting. Perhaps you should examine why the actual overtime pay is not incentive enough.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
