Pros

Benefits are probably the best out there!!! This company invests a lot of capital trying to compete with other firms in the brokerage realm and with great success! Company is well-managed. Depending on the area, job opportunities are abundant! I feel that Fidelity truly focuses on the customer as an effective business strategy.

Cons

Increases in pay are small but quick up front. After 2 years the pay increases slow down drastically, even for good performance due to the control point compensation schedule they have. Too often individuals are hired for reasons other than tenure and performance. Politics too often play a role in advancement.

    Pros

Benefits Company Christmas party Cafeteria Great work/life balance Employee Engagement Career Development Training

    Cons

Compensation - It is best to negotiate salary as much as possible before taking the offer, if not you will be unsatisfied for the work that is required. During the negotiation of the salary if not offered what you want do not take it because it is extremely difficult to get good pay increases. Average merit raises were about 1.5%. Pay also depends on the area as well but for the most part it is not very competitive amongst other financial firms. Sometimes things can be too micromanagement

    Advice to Management

Please be more generous with pay increases and offer bonuses.

    Pros

Nice customers and coworkers, nice benefits

    Cons

Branch managers are nothing but "yes" people who humiliate and undermine sales staff. All about selling Fidelity products to everyone or else...

    Advice to Management

Too much turnover in the branches due to the awful branch managers in place. Listen to the people in the field more.
