Pros

Benefits are probably the best out there!!! This company invests a lot of capital trying to compete with other firms in the brokerage realm and with great success! Company is well-managed. Depending on the area, job opportunities are abundant! I feel that Fidelity truly focuses on the customer as an effective business strategy.

Cons

Increases in pay are small but quick up front. After 2 years the pay increases slow down drastically, even for good performance due to the control point compensation schedule they have. Too often individuals are hired for reasons other than tenure and performance. Politics too often play a role in advancement.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good place to work for a few years to get all-round finance industry experience. However, be prepared to work like a slave, because it is all numbers game for performance metrics. Quality & customer service does not matter.

    Cons

Employees are disposable assets. Skills and experience does not matter. No emphasis on building able and skilled work force. High attrition rate. Upper management is all about numbers game on excel spreadsheet because that earns them huge bonuses. Little accountability in management rung. If they screw-up, they abandon the group/business and jump-shift to another business like sinking ship.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be human and show some respect to human capital as well. Because, in the game you are playing, you are also just a number and sooner or later, it will catch up with you!
