I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Good salaries, good benefits. Good company to begin career with as there is growth potential for those who stand out.

Cons

Expectations are high. With layoffs employees are expected to do more work as terminated employees are typically not replaced.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Front line management is good. Upper management is difficult.

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

When I was working there, I felt a part of the company. The company went out of its way to communicate, ensure team building, and be transparent. Very good benefits packages, and of course investment options. Good work/life balance, easy to speak with supervisors and leadership.

    Cons

Like most companies, there is a resource crunch in some areas. Company is very focused on standardization across groups. This can be a good and bad thing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to your people, and hear what they are telling you. Promote from within and understand that technology backgrounds may be good, but people with the unteachable soft skills are far more important for strong growth and stability.
