I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than a year

Pros

I respect this compay's business
Nice facilities
Decent benefits

Cons

Basically, it's a white collar factory. Come in prepared for boring routine tasks. Check your brain, ideas, creativity and opinions at the door. Lip service is paid to team building but if you are not a "favorite" forget fair treatment. The place is full of the "walking wounded" from numerious RIFs.

Right hand NEVER talks to the left hand, micromanagers, it all depends on who you know, call center life isn't for everyone

I worked at Fidelity Investments as a contractor for more than 3 years

    Pros

There were good, smart co-workers withing the company. Support from other departments was very good.

    Cons

There were too many re-orgs and management changes while I was there. This frustrated the staff as they would become use to a new re-org and then have everything change for them again.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

IMHO, moving the tech staff to North Carolina was a bad idea. Support and engineers positioned close to the users is more efficient when resolving problems.
