I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The company is extremely customer focused. The management team is always trying to re-invent themselves to ensure they remain competitive. The firm is also employee friendly and has the power to weather the economic ups and downs with minimum impact to employees.

    Cons

Change is constant. Career growth prospects are extremely limited. Anyone who is looking to move up the ladder will find it takes many years to get a promotion. In the past 5-7 years, the company's focus on cutting costs and improving productivity has resulted in fewer people working a lot more with no significant improvement in compensation. This is not a company to look at if you are looking for a 9-5 working day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

With the job market improving, a renewed focus is required in employee satisfaction. Otherwise, the firm will see a many people jumping ship as soon as the opportunity arises. The management team needs to keep up with the technology map that is changing so very rapidly.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
