If you are willing to relocate multiple times you'll do well. If you want stability, look elsewhere.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Exposure to some brilliant and highly educated individuals
Good benefits and programs such as healthcare, profit sharing, on-site fitness and health centers, fitness and computer reimbursement, bonus opportunities

    Cons

Can achieve work/life balance but usually not without paying a price (limited or no advancement opportunity, limited or no pay increases)
Under-achievers often get recognized and promoted if they know the right people and can play them to their advantage
Jobs are constantly relocated or eliminated on senior management's whim with little regard for the impact to the people or businesses they support

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward the individuals who excel in their jobs, not the ones who under achieve or put business at risk. Limit excessive relocation strategies.

    Pros

Compensation is decent between the cash & share compensation. Certainly feel some compression taking hold though as they try to get closer to industry benchmarls

    Cons

Salary compression trend, continued geographic expansion out of MA. Somewhat limited promotion opportunities
