Pros

Great integrity. You can leave personal items out among hundreds of people and not worry about theft. Many intelligent people. Great benefits.

Cons

Huge on metrics. You must stay within a few minutes of an ever changing schedule. No face to face time with clients. A call center for promotion after promotion. Very few investor centers so chances of working in one are not great.

Advice to Management

Explain to prospective employees that the entire career for a financial advisor is a call center situation.

    Pros

I will say that the Series 7 training that they provide is excellent. Ok for a year, if it's your first job out of college.

    Cons

Upper management does a great cheer-leading bit but the real world is quite different. Every move you make is recorded and monitored, if you make a rookie mistake they make you feel terrible, very little praise without a "but". Lot's of nitpicking criticism. You have no time to socialize because every minute is accounted for. The work itself is ok but quite a grind when you average 50 calls a day with only 2 15 min. breaks. Grueling for little pay.

    Advice to Management

You work people to death, for sub-par wages. Then you criticize and berate employees for every little thing. The only reason you have good retention is that the economy is terrible for jobs. When this changes you will see a mass exodus.

  2. Was a great time. Had a fantastic team who was invested in my development.

    Pros

Great pay. Tons of kids your age to hang out with. You will get some leisure time (which you should use to develop your skills to help the team).

    Cons

A very traditional company with lots of bureaucracy, which at points was slightly annoying. Still not caught up to many of the latest tech trends.
