I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Excellent bonus structure. Never missed the annual bonus.. ever.. Huge 401K benefits package. You have to experience the 401K benefits to believe it. High performers get private company shares which are worth A LOT over time. This company does not think short-term both in their strategy as well as in their benefits & compensation structure. Apart from benefits, the company culture and treatment of employees is genuine in nature. Company strives for people to move around & encourages it. So, you are not stuck doing one this for a long time.

Cons

Promotions might be very hard to get due its flat structure, but compensation overall is good given its broad base. Things will get frustrating because it is slower to move on important things, but its understandable in any large company.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A privately owned thriving large company that is always trying to improve, not afraid to take risks and grow in new directions. It's essentially a meritocracy so if you are willing to work hard and be flexible you can succeed with it. Industry comparable salary and good benefits, a decent work environment overall.

    Cons

If you don't like the organizational structure you are working in, just wait 6 months and it will change.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to ideas coming from the ground up (the company is doing better in this regard, still needs to improve)

Temporary contract position with not so great benefits. Not enough responsibility.

    Advice to Management

Need to make the job a permanent position with the ability to pursue your series 7 license.
