Current Employee – been working at Fifth Third
Pros – people you work with, benefits, vacation, retirement options, small client base making it easy to give that one on one attention to clients, affiliate model with local decision making
Cons – nobody is on the same page, you ask a question or ask how something should be done and you can get 3 different answers that are not the same, constant change of how things are done
Advice to Senior Management – Senior Management should exchange roles for a day in the branches to get a better understanding of what people go through on a day to day basis to make goals. They set high expectations but banking has changed so much in the past 20 years that they tend to forget that it is a different market now than it was back then. It is easy to look at the bottom line and see where the affiliate stands but to actually go through the motions and be held accountable in the branch atmosphere is a different ballgame.
