I have been working at Firestone Complete Auto Care full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Quality service provided at a fair price
Bonus incentives
Excellent discounts on getting your own vehicle fixed
Good training is provided

Cons

Unrealistic performance expectations in certain areas - usually an issue with not enough techs to perform work and very light sales staff - can be very stressful at times.
Managers have to work so many hours it doesn't make the increased salary worth it due to poor quality of life. Upper management is really out of touch with how bad it is.... absolutely no true empathy every shown. Its just not a healthy place to work on many levels due to the disconnect at the store and upper management levels.

Hopefully with the many changes taking place a healthier, real relationship will begin between stores and upper management

    I worked at Firestone Complete Auto Care full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    -Overtime
    -Spiffs/Bonus
    -advancement (due to high turnover)
    -The executives see the value in having college educated managers and will look to promote you quickly, but you have to "do your time"

    Cons

    -Upper Management never satisfied
    -Open 7 days
    -Long hours standing
    -Lunch breaks allowed but not feasible
    -High turnover
    -Angry customers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    -Vacation time before 1yr employed.
    -Go to bat for your store, service, and tire managers instead of blaming them.
    -Be just as passionate about celebrating achievements as you are about addressing shortcomings.
