    Pros

The food in the cafe is decent.

    Cons

If you are a software developer or work in IT beware, this company outsourced lots of their jobs to India. The code base is terrible and once you are hired you would do little else but software support regardless of what they told you in the interview (in fact there is very little truth about what they told you in the job interview and actual reality) . The examiner's work bench application took years to develop and over a dozen employees to maintain. There is constant fighting and blaming amongst the employees. If you are new, they will try to blame you the existing problems in the application even if didn't write any code. Working late is the norm due to conferences between India and USA (during the interview they told you work is 8-5). The job description is very different from what you actually do once hired. Management is incompetent since many have little background in technology and software development itself and got their position due to length of service with the company or were hired because they know someone in the company.

    Advice to Management

Hire knowledgeable people and people with integrity for management roles.

    Pros

The benefits in discounts when purchasing from companies that work with First American.

    Cons

Very low employee moral in FA home warranty. Support staff and supervisors are limited in providing customer satisfaction/ retention.

    Advice to Management

It is a call center, however, most departments work against the overall goal of customer satisfaction. Focus is placed on the bottom dollar and saving a dollar with departments that affect a client's outcome. Common sense is overruled by company policy.
Place more focus on customer feedback and complaints. Actually listen to the homeowners or the employees you ask to be advocates for the homeowners. Have customer satisfaction be a goal with every department under the Home Warranty, not just the departments that deal with customers directly.
