I worked at First American full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Large organization with decent benefits. Large data center environment resulted in lots of learning opportunities

Cons

Politics and power struggles were impossible to navigate. High expectations resulted in a very high stress environment. No work-life balance there at all!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work together as one company with common goals, as opposed to multiple disparate entities with completely opposite paths.

    Pros

Pretty good about buying/paying for technology to support the business.

    Cons

Not too good about acknowledging the employee's that support & maintain the technology. And I'm not even talking about $.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Concentrate on talent retention and employee appreciation.

"Congratulations, you can come back to work on Monday" is not good pep-talk for motivation, joking or otherwise.
