First Data Senior Documentation Specialist in Austin, TX: (Current Employee)

Pros

First Data has a stable environment in an unstable economy, due to all its recent acqusitions of smaller companies before, during, and after the transition of publicly-held to privately held once KKR acquired the company in 2007.

Cons

First Data is a very large company with about 26,000+ employees so sometimes it is difficult to get traction between remote locations.

Advice to Senior Management

First Data's Senior Management needs to understand that when people are asking for more resources, i.e. hiring more people to get the job done, this is a red flag telling them that folks are getting burned out.

Thanks for nothing. It now takes 2 atrocious reviews to cancel out your favorable one. We are trying to maintain consistency and enlighten viewers with brutal honesty. FDC and KKR have neither bcompetence nor inclination to become admired. Absolutely unworthy of even being granted mediocre status here. Current social agenda includes: $3 billion write-off of FDC investment, IRS investigation and pleading for hapless investors to bail-out European Fund II. Puppetmasters KKR trying to copy AIG?????

Is this for real? First Data is the land of opportunity!??? Do you really believe that FDC has a stable environment in an unstable economy? The reason you need more resources is because FDC lays off people on an almost regular basis and expect those who stay to take on extra work without any pay increases. (And you gave them a rating of 5.0, no less!) Let me guess, you're really an executive from FDC who's "pretending" to be a Sr. Documentation Specialist. There's simply no way that anyone below an executive capacity would ever "like" a company such as FDC. Please, give me a break! I totally agree with Whistleblower... Someone must have paid you to give such a favorable review for an incredibly crappy company. Or, perhaps this is really a review covertly written by Mike Cappellas, using a false name...
