I have been working at First Data full-time

    Pros

a lot of responsibility, encouraging workplace, good benefits

    Cons

not an innovative company, smal bonuses, little opportunity for advancement, very bureaucratic and difficult to get things accomplished. Very "old" company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

consider larger bonuses/financial incentives to attract younger talent, recruit more aggressively.

I worked at First Data full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Very Flexible work hours--you create your own hours and scheduled appointments.
Potential to make a lot of money once you have built a Book of Business.
Many different products to sell and make money with.

    Cons

Most of the very successful reps do not disclose fees properly.
Industry is full of shady people so it leads reps at First Data resorting to those same tactics.
Too much competition. Competition lies and says whatever they need to get the business.
Pricing is initially conrolled by the sales rep but can go up by the company later on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers have way too much on their plate to be effective at developing their team of sales reps. Anyime you go out in the field with a Manager, they are inindated with phone calls from other reps and/or other issues. Managers need to spend more time developing team members.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
