Good idea, horribly run company.

I have been working at First Home Care

Pros

Flexible hours. Fun clients. Independence in choosing work schedule. Great avenues for creativity while making a difference in someone else's life.

Cons

Too much paperwork, not enough recognition for a job well done. Hostile and judgemental work environment, unrealistic expectations of employees. No follow through with employers......constantly misplaced paperwork, through no fault of the employees, but they area blamed anyhow.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to value your employees and treat them with respect. When they follow your directives, don't chastise them for doing what you asked!

    provide friendly working environment. good benefits

    Cons

    over work and have difficulty listening to employee. on two separate occasions i explained how they kept tacking cases on me when it was impossible to service those clients because of the restricted hours clients had because of being in school. They continued to put more clients on my case load and because i was the only available person to service the specific clientele i was given all new clients with those needs. i asked for help on two separate occasions and it went unheard. I do not think it was intentional but i developed a new program with them and he were not aware of the demands of treating the specific population i was treating. We were beginning to receive numerous referrals were coming in.
