I have been working at First Investors Corporation full-time for less than a year

Pros – Hands on management
Healthy yet very supportive competition
Can pay very well
Learn something new everyday
Gain a lot of experience in a short period of time
Meet new clients everyday
Very straight forward promotion schedule

Cons – Need to solicit new business though they do give house accounts
You need to put in a lot of time to be successful
You have to be extremely self-motivated and determined
You have to want to be there and work hard everyday
Very sink or swim but management will help in anyway possible if you ask (more of a pro)
The first year is the hardest
Unpaid training
Takes a while to start making money

Advice to Senior Management – Bring more structure and depth to training
