I worked at Fiserv full-time (more than a year)

Pros

People were awesome. Great work/life balance and there was lots of chances to learn new technology if one wanted.

Cons

The drive to downtown Austin was not much fun. No remote working which was a drag in today's day and age.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward all the hard workers and being that my division did great but since our parent division did not make their numbers mean't no bonus for us and we had to cut folks.

I worked at Fiserv full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Non-Management staff is great!!
    Medical benefits were very good.

    Cons

Upper Management rules the roost with a focus on demeaning and bullying non-management staff.
Mid-to Lower Management needs training in people skills and operations.
Cuts in HR means that most sites no longer have an on-site HR rep.
    Horrific Communication.
Corporate Culture lacks values and "team" spirit.
Low pay. Fiserv took full advantage of the economic crisis by cutting back on salary increases. In addition, they laid off about 1/3 of staff to outsource to India and Costa Rica. Yes. Earnings increased for Fiserv, but the flip side is that it is due to domestic lay-offs and outsourcing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take stock of the way you treat staff.
Make more training available to mid-and lower management.
    Create more mentorship between staff.
    Stop outsourcing. Hire Americans.

    I worked at Fiserv full-time

    Pros

People were great in the group. late shift pay difference.
Took good care of employees, cheap lunches, free pop machines, apperciation days

    Cons

Not being able to say who you truly work for. Got old stating your bill pay service, the banks didn’t want you to state right away that they outsourced their online banking.
