Pros

Flexible schedule for work/life balance

Cons

No communication between management and subordinates. Benefits are terrible. Employees pay most of the premium for health insurance which doesn't cover much in benefits. HR department doesn't have any clue to policies of the company. Management is incapable of making decisions and once decisions are made, they change like the weather. Policies in place are only for the benefit of management. A lot of dead weight in management. No decision makers or leaders exist at CheckFree.

Advice to Management

Stop hiding information from subordinates. Develop a true business model of managing a company and stop letting clients get services for free because you do not want to upset them. And get rid of dead week such as VPs that do nothing put sit in their offices on the phone. Also encourage advancement throughout the company

    Pros

Challenging and interesting projects. There are opportunities for employees to take leadership and ownership in their respective disciplines

    Cons

Difficulty working with other Fiserv business lines. There isn't a lot of sharing between business lines. Human Resources are making all of the decisions. There are no career advancement opportunities, and when these arise, roadblocks are put up to keep people from moving. There are very few training opportunities. Exceptional performance is not recognized. Benefits are laughable, especially medical insurance. Good people leave and there isn't any effort on the part of management to keep them.

    Advice to Management

You have to spend money to make money. In this case, spend money to train, retain, and promote exceptional performers. Listen to dissenting opinions.

    Pros

The people the are the best part of ITI. Hard work doesnt go unnoticed.

    Cons

At times it can be like an old boys club and if you are not in the club you are out. Senior management is stuck in their old ways and afraid to change. These days conservative is good, but at time is can be too much. If ITI would loosen up a bit and become a more liberal place to work, it would be the greatest place to work and I would never think about leaving.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention and culitvate the youg talent. Too many time, good people leave because we dont pay them enough. Dont be afraid to fire the poor performers.
