I have been working at Fiserv full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Upper management is motivated to upgrade / update Fiserv's processes, systems and procedures and tend to value initiatives from middle management.

Middle management is generally incompetent, so it's easy to move up!

    Cons

Toxic work environment: upper management is cutting costs and headcounts, closing divisions, and outsourcing to other countries. I'm often the bearer of bad news and have been required to have difficult conversations with at least 5-6 direct reports.

Upper management still hasn't finalized a long term strategy, and so there are constant changes, memos, and budget updates.

Hours the last 6 months have been pretty long in my department. Since we've outsourced several important functions, we're now working in 2 timezones.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Define a plan. Stick with it.
