I worked at Fisher-Price as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

I was an intern in the packaging department, got to do actual work than intern nonsense. You are treated like a member of the team. Everyone's willing to teach you new things

Cons

Town sucks, there isn't much to do after work. You would have to drive 30 mins to down town

I have been working at Fisher-Price full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity to get a well-recognized brand name on your resume. Marketing, Sales, and Finance are good positions to take. Diverse array of interesting products and creative, team-oriented environment.

    Cons

Continuing declines of sales make for limited opportunities and high job risk. Engineering and, to some extent, Industrial Design are on the chopping block as the current management believes the same work can be done in China at less cost. PLM system implementation continues to drag heavily on the company and the management will not admit to making a mistake implementing it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make good products, the rest will follow.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
