I worked at Flextronics full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Got to work on Cisco Routers including 4g routers from Verizon.

Cons

Everything else. The promise of conversions for temp workers but instead keep them for 2 to 3 years and then lay them off. Most have to threaten to quit just to get converted. Place is unorganized and they still act like they have a culture there. Not by any stretch. All hands meetings feel like a slick preacher selling you pipe dreams.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You get what you pay for and thats why Cisco left.

    I worked at Flextronics full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    The pay relative to other repair tech jobs, repairing Apple laptops, got off work early most days except during peak periods

    Cons

    The people, unrealistic expectations, poor training, too many silly changes (including your job duties)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't just throw new repair techs into the fire with minimal training and expect them to meet expectations immediately or pair them with a group of people and expect that group to meet expectations. Make decisions that stabilize the work environment more, i.e. start and end times, job duties, and stick with them instead of changing regularly.

    Pros

    They really did well with training. I worked remotely and always felt communicated with and part of a team.

    Cons

    We were contractors so it was always a lot of pressure and stress to perform.
