When you work overtime for them, they feel as though they are doing you a favor allowing you to work When someone quits and just walks out, they wait atleast a month before they are considered fired. They put them on LOA until they come back and then fire them leaving the rest of the employees stranded and overworked with no reward

    Pros

Many good people work their. Good opportunities if competitive salaries are not a primary concern. A viable career move during down economic times as many OEM's outsource to stay afloat. A good place to better understand how contract manufacturers have earned their reputation.

    Cons

Not big on employee development. Control is concentrated a very high levels. Middle mnagement is primarily utilized in more of a supervisory capacity. Aside from seeking to be the cheapest OEM option for manufacturing product, they are not very strategic. Very low tolerance for risk. Upper management is primarily spread around the country.

    Advice to Management

The use of off-site management leads to poorly informed decisions and strategies based on personal CYA needs rather than what is best for the customer or site. Better development and empowerment of on-site middle management is needed.

Current Employee - IT Was Alright in Los Angeles, CA

    Pros

Company was outsourced to other companies so you really followed other companies policies and were involved with different contractor companies.

    Cons

bad pay, bad benefits, bad management, no real direction as far as career or using what degrees or schooling you may have

    Advice to Management

I would advise managerment to really consider how to promote those who have been working for the company a long time and not hire newbies that dont know how to do the job
