I worked at Fluke Corporation full-time

Pros

An amazing place to learn. Very steep learning curve. 1 year here is good for about 2-3 at most any other company I have worked with. Danaher is a good company to learn from to see what works well, and what doesn't.

Cons

Everett.
Hours can be pretty long, depending on your role and group.
Focus is just on making money, not on the people.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Move quicker to keep you talent; if someone learns quickly and gets bored in their role, you need to respond quickly and keep them challenged or they will leave.

    Pros

    * The engineering department is world class.
    * The focus on quality.
    * The people, great to work with, knowledgeable (see world class above).
    * The brand recognition, there is some pride in being able to say you work for Fluke. This has been earned by years of great products and customer support.

    Cons

The people stay a long time, not really a con, except that there can be a lack of advancement opportunities in some areas as a result.

I have been working at Fluke Corporation full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Interesting people, wide-array of marketing experiences available to add to resume, nice outdoor grounds for taking a walk, interesting to work in a corporate office with a factory floor

    Cons

Horrible office set-up (old cubes with ugly pink walls and stained carpet), gross kitchenette facilities, management seems to be in upheaval in 2013

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1) Get on the same page together 2) Find some focus 3) Do some work to make your employees feel secure and focused on meaningful work
