I have been working at Fluke Networks full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Anyone can feel smart working here, now. Danaher corporate process keeps lots of sins hidden. You get realy good at microsoft excel.

Cons

If John Fluke were still alive he'd rip his name off the sign in disgust for whats become of his old company. Weak products. No leadership. Annual xmas layoffs. Managers who can't use the products. Employees that laugh at the managers. I am surprised the company has not been unionized.

I worked at Fluke Networks full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I joined Fluke Networks to develop products and because they have a solid brand name. I heard they also have a secret business system that makes them successful and I wanted to learn that too. There are some good people there, but after three years I got fed up and quit. Not bitter, but really disappointed in how this company did not measure up.

    Cons

I was shocked at how little industry and technical knowledge they had in the management ranks. What was more depressing were the new management hires who were even less competent than the people that were replaced. Fluke Networks is totally noncreative. Thinking is shallow. A big win is a cost reduction or a powerpoint slide. No time is spent on being great. This is not a company where anyone can learn anything valuable or have a career path or experience anything but derivative thinking. Very sad.

Are you hiring the right people to run this company? The employees don't think so.

    Pros

Great products that have a reputation for outstanding quality.

    Cons

HR dept. is stuck in the 70's. (big on gossip and manipulative of friends with long tenure)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Terminate all managers that have had their job over 10 years.
