Fluor – “Fluor - a great environment to get your work done, and to continue learning”

Pros

Large company with a strong financial background. Information sharing, team collaboration, and continued education is strongly encouraged. Everyone working on a project around you is very willing to help you learn, and most people are able to do so very intelligently. Compensation is above average. The atmosphere in the work place is somewhat relaxed, mostly focusing on making sure you fulfill your job requirements rather than having someone breathing down your neck all the time. Time off with pay system is flexible and my experience with management is that they will work with you however they can to allow you the schedule you would prefer.

Cons

Due to the cyclical nature of the businesses Fluor is involved in, job security is always in question. However, if you perform satisfactorily or above, you should not be too concerned.

Advice to Senior Management

More feedback on job performance, and more utilization of the human resources available, particularly at the lower level positions. I feel that there is a lot of potential talent and expertise that is lost due to the conservative nature of Fluor's business.
