Pros

Is a place with a good environment and a good pay. They give you a really organize and complete guidelines that help you do your job.

Cons

Is a work that if the oil's company's are doing good you don't have to worry about but if the oil price go down they are going to do a massive layoff.

I have been working at Fluor

    Pros

    - Good Slaries overall.
    - Raises are based on performance and not so much pleasing shareholders.
    - A global presence allowing favorable work assignments in general.

    Cons

    - No substantial effort to keep emplyees during downturns
    - A jump from middle to upper management is usually a long painfull process
    - Excessive submission to Client's requests in terms of deliverables, especially timing.
    - Career development plans and programs that look good on paper but hard to execute

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - There should be an allocation of funds for continuous training and career development plans during the downturns.
    - There is nothing wrong with getting kick-out of a project by the client for trying to do the "right" thing
