I worked at Focus on the Family

Pros

- mission to help families thrive
 - integrity of some in management
 - desire to make a difference for families

Cons

- not a great commitment to real change
 - growth/'voice' determined by favoritism
 - organization tends to be satisfied with mediocrity

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The opportunity is real to make a difference for today's families, however, until leadership is willing to make the hard decision and actually sacrifice breadth for depth, and invest in those who have vision and ability, it will continue to spiral downward.

I worked at Focus on the Family

    Pros

Incredibly joyful atmosphere-- you can almost tangibly feel the presence of God in this place. Monthly chapel, weekly devotions with you team. Amazing ministry to be a part of.

    Cons

The last I knew, the organization was struggling financially. They had to cut a lot of positions to stay afloat (but they do it so compassionately and only as a last resort).
