Food Lion – “Food Lion.”

Pros

Health insurance, 401k, Christmas bonus, and vacations. Pretty fair pay compared to other grocery stores. Outside of front end positions, working in other departments in the store are more favorable. When you have a good store manager it makes all the difference in the world. Good managers know how to get the store working together as a team.

Cons

Management for the most part is incompetent, most stores are not run very well. Management seem to focus on very short term goals instead of any large picture at all. Available hours are usually burned up in the beginning of the year and as a result, at the end of the year a lot of hours are cut.

Advice to Senior Management

Focus more on customer satisfaction instead of where a penny can be pinched.
