I worked at Food Lion full-time (more than an year)

Pros

competitive pay, conveniently located in many cities in many states stretched along the east coast line.

Cons

upper management using discipline incorrectly to avoid paying out bonus or severance package due to closing of stores. Long hours and many nights, weekends and holidays although that is what this kind of job requires. Stores are old and dirty and can not compete with newer stores. They claim to have the lowest prices but this could not be any further from the truth.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

certain individuals have unlimited power and human resources should not work for those individuals. Such a turn over rate of human resource people allows the district and regional management keep power over them hindering their decisions upon crucial situations.
