Pros

Manager is flexible and understanding. I took a trip up north for a few weeks the first month I started working.
Manager is hard-working, smart, and positive in my eyes
Employee Discount
Meet variety of customers. 95% of the time its a very positive interaction
Coworkers are usually cool and fun, I've met a few great people

Cons

Pay
I pick up for other peoples slack when I finish early after working hard.
Stock is hard and stressful with little recognition
Retail is also stressful.. Quotas need to be reached.
They don't train you on Product Knowledge.. I googled everything I know.

Advice to Management

Pay the hard workers more. They are assets to the company
Train employees on PK. We should be able to give information on shoes
At least 2% commission for PT

    Pros

    Discount of course!
Retail experience (once you leave here you'll get hired easily and get paid better)
    Works great with school/sports schedule.

    Cons

The pay is terrible, but the discount balances it out. The higher volume your store is, the better your commission is. You must work during busy times (back to school, black Friday, December period) or YOU WILL GET FIRED!

    Advice to Management

Apply your knowledge and understand what customers are looking for. Customers are lazy and they don't understand sneakers; the more you do for/inform them, they happier they are. Swell your accessories (socks/shoe cleaner/insoles)

  2. Enjoy working environment but really wish for better pay.

    Pros

everyone in the company i've met are awesome employees, you get faitly decent discounts, they're usually pretty good about good scheduling, and commission.

    Cons

the pay is not nearly enough, employees who have been with the company for multiple years don't get raises as deserved.

    Advice to Management

reward your employees, they don't make nearly enough, foot locker is the mother company and the companies it owns employees make more than them, a good bit more. i've been with the company two years and never had a raise, i still make minimum wage.
