I worked at Foot Locker part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Very Nice discount! Mall hours are not as bad as most places that are 24 hours Uniform is simple and comfortable Product knowledge is all of common sense really Great for High School/College students

Cons

Pay is extremely low and tasteless Focused on selling and not the customer service aspect Pressure to sell "multiple" items and pressure the customer into buying after saying no management is very disrespectful and have poor character Corrupt system-their management and team all have an agenda

Advice to Management

Upgrade in all areas. My entire 4 years of employment there was one big headache. The management should be reviewed more carefully and they should have employment surveys because I had much to say about the managers I've experienced. I worked at Lady Footlocker, Footlocker, and Kids Footlocker during my 4 years and each experience was pure evil. I did my job well and I took pride in my honesty and loyalty but I was never acknowledged for my great work only what I did poorly.

I worked at Foot Locker part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Cool people, one of the managers was pretty awesome but he left to go back to a store he previously worked at. You can get a decent amount of hours.

    Cons

Very regimented work environment. The managers push a lot of corporate researched sales strategies and make you do a lot of up-selling which basically never works. They actually make you watch those cheesy corporate videos at the beginning of employment. Job gets boring.

    Cons

    Sometimes expected to work alone

    Advice to Management

I wish there was a better benefits/wage for part time workers
