Current Employee – been working at Ford Motor full-time for more than 10 years

Pros – Very big company, lots and lots and lots of opportunities in many different fields, you will like your colleagues. You will like more than half of your direct bosses. People who love cars will love working here, and people who are not car nuts will also love it.

Cons – A small number of your direct bosses will be evil backstabbing jerks. A small number of your direct bosses will be completely ignorant. It is not possible to avoid these people, as you will have a new boss every year or two. The hierarchy is immense and the in-fighting among executives and managers at all levels is simply unbelievable. Machiavelli would feel completely at home.

Advice to Senior Management – Walk the walk.
