Ford Motor – “Great place to work, but long hours.”

Pros

The company provides great benefits such as medical, dental and vision. The 401k is not as generous as it used to be but it seem to be well managed. All of my co-workers were very dedicated to their work. The family discounts on vehicles are very useful and generous.

Cons

The work hours can be very long. Senior management often has no idea what is happening at the lower levels. Many of the engineers have an arrogant attitude towards the non-engineers.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior management should make a greater effort to understand the needs and the daily work environment of those that work beneath them.
