Former Employee - Sales Associate in Richmond, BC (Canada)

I worked at Forever 21 part-time (less than an year)

Pros

Management is very flexible in terms of hours. I worked a full time job during most of the weekday, and the store manager only scheduled me during the weekends.

Cons

Some of my coworkers found the position/company very tiring, as the store was busy from open to close. Most positions require one to stand and or walk around continuously for the whole shift.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better communication between the management and the sales associates can definitely help/improve the customer experience and revenue of the store.

I have been working at Forever 21 part-time

    Pros

working in a big store, you learn to prioritize and multitask,
you can cross train into fitting rooms, registers, visual, or stock
you get a good amount of hours

    Cons

    disorganized merchandise
management push sales associates to customer service but they don't do it themselves
racks of go-backs and many are not the right ones because of fitting room mistakes
in a big store, it's difficult to help customers find a certain size of a certain style

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk and get to know your associates. Set goals, yes, but follow through with them and acknowledge when goals are met. Do not just focus on the mistakes. Improve leadership!
