I worked at Foxwoods Resort Casino full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Great co-workers and middle management. The best education about problem behavior identification and human nature available. Very fast paced environment. Descent pay and benefits without needing a college degree. Shift hours allow for options.

Cons

Loud, hostile environment. You will work when others play (weekends/holidays). Schedule and atmosphere is not conducive to a healthy family life. The company is not positioned well to compete in future markets.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management needs to plan for longevity, not just short term profit until the end of their contract. Lead proactively, not reactively. Look for the quiet talent in your work force.

I worked at Foxwoods Resort Casino full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Unlike many other casinos, Foxwoods offer free food for employees. Very good benefits. Nice environment, slow and quiet most of the time but weekends.

    Cons

A lot of pressure if you work for the table games. And one more thing, they have the union there, and everyone has to join the union.
