I worked at Franklin Templeton Investments full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

This is a company with a wonderful work environment. They also seem quite open to moving up within the company. I had 2 promotions in the 5 years I worked for them. The HR folks were great about helping me plan for maternity leave, and making sure I understood the short term disability benefits, and all my options. I think there is a good balance between a social life with other employees, going out to lunch, etc., and a professional environment in the office.

    Cons

Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to give all the customers good service. Phone calls that require any research to speak of sometimes don't get the attention they need. Sometimes I didn't feel like I was being thorough enough with requests. Also, when I was a new employee, it was sometimes confusing when learning what departments I should contact for specific information or requests.
