Current Employee – been working at Fraser Health

Pros – The organization provides an opportunity for employees to have a positive impact upon the health of clients, patients and residents. There are a number of opportunties for advancement and employees are given an opportunity to learn and grow in their jobs.

Cons – Demands upon employees are very high due to the complex nature of public health care services. There are many situations where the organization does not have enough resources due to the way in which health services have historically been distributed in BC and the fact that the population within the area that Fraser Health services is growing significantly.

Advice to Senior Management – There needs to be an improved focus on formal and informal employee recognition as a means of providing appreciation for the many hard working individuals at Fraser Health that routinely go above and beyond in their work performance.
