The biggest benefit used to be stable employment, but that has all changed since the government took us over in the fall of 2008.

Cons

Freddie Mac is far away for people who live in MD or D.C. compared to Fannie Mae. Aside from that, the two companies are pretty similar. Freddie is somewhat bureaucratic, so it sometimes takes a lot of time for business areas to obtain the approvals they need to execute their business strategies.
