I have been working at Freescale Semiconductor

Pros

Large global corporation, employees have the ability to move to different functions, many employees have been with the company for 20+ years, strong talent base, flexible work hours

Cons

Competitive industry, leadership changes, too much overhead, slow processes due to being a large global company, company business units work in silo

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need clearer direction from top to bottom, build a 360 accountability program for manager and individual contributors, provide path for career advancement as well as bring new talent

    Pros

time off generous, but other benefits are sub par

    Cons

Salary OK, but benefits are terrible, medical out of pocket rally impacts salary, no money for bonus or stock... feel a little mislead about the company, opportunities, benefits and companies financial well being

I have been working at Freescale Semiconductor

    Pros

thinking....ok, they're pretty good about letting perople work from home and have flext time, at least in my group. My manager doesn't care when or where my work gets done as long as it gets done.

    Cons

Bureaucracy, politics, lack of praise for a job well done or even acknowledgement that the job was done. Little to no training available and you're expected to somehow magically know all that you're supposed to know.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in training your people, even the contractors.
