Pros

Good people. Interesting products to work on.

Cons

Salaries in some jobs seem depressed.

Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Many Parmer Lane employees are leaving because of the move to Oak Hill. I understand the company problems kept raises out of the picture the last few years, but hiring is picking up, so you need to at least take care of your top people.

    Pros

You get to work with lots of smart people, solve interesting and technically challenging problems, and deliver products that are changing the world.

    Cons

Lack of direction, vision, and viable roadmaps. Too much political infighting and constant jockeying for the "upper hand" by senior management. Financial situation is precarious due to the huge debt service caused by the leveraged buyout a few years ago.

    Advice to Management

Focus on what can/does really differentiate Freescale from the rest of the pack. Get rid of useless levels of management and bureaucracy.
