Pros

Some of the best people to work with. Very experienced folks , who have worked their way up. Most people more than willing to teach ,guide, mentor. Excellent work-life balance.

Cons

Too many management changes. Lack of stability due to the huge debt on the company. Compensation needs to improve

Advice to Management

People make the company. And though Money is not the only factor, it is a big factor. Make sure the employees are paid as per industry standards and their pay is reviewed from time to time

    Pros

Six Sigma and lean training. They attempt to use Kaizens to address major problems. They no longer charge for parking in the parking garages.

    Cons

Too many non degreed old Motorola operators and technicians in management roles that impede fixing problem root causes. Unless you are an old Motorola employee you are treated as an outsider. Freescales entire documentation data set is decades out of date and no longer pertinent to the current manufacturing operation.

    Advice to Management

Retire all of the old Motorola crew and stop fixing the manufacturing problems by hiring experts for one or two year time periods then laying them off.

  2. A company with external growth issues but on a better path to success

    Pros

Within the finance organiziaton, there is a lot of focus on development and opportunties to rotate.

    Cons

As any company would have, there is a political aspect to the work environment.

    Advice to Management

    Follow through with commitments.
