I have been working at Freese and Nichols full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Flexible hours, great pay and benefits. Open door policy, with a perfect mix of clan and hierarchical structure. I do not know many places where any employee can reach out and schedule a time and talk directly with their manager and/or CEO about his/her questions, comments, or concerns in regards to the company or their department.

Cons

Workload fluctuates so sometimes you toggle between boredom and being overworked.

    Pros

    Friendly staff
    Paid Holidays
    Young feel to the place
Work as hard as you want to
    Low stress environment
    Fun culture

    Cons

    Unpaid, expected "lunch meetings"
Poor communication between management and staff at times
Slow to fix problems in IT department
Often left with little work to do (especially in CADD Tech group)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure to have a set workload for the interns that work for your company and a better defined role among the office. Having direction and a defined role in the company is essential and saves time and money by having clear communication.
