Pros

Great job if you enjoy meaningful patient interaction and making a difference in their lives.

Great clinical staff. Most are committed to patient care and are willing to work long hours and on days off - usually in the form of overtime.

Like most healthcare companies, Fresenius runs lean. Clinical managers can expect to work long hours and on days off, usually with limited support. Managers must be comfortable wearing many hats and understand the importance of meeting clinical, quality, training, productivity and financial goals. Some managers can become overwhelmed.

Cons

Expect to work hard as a manager, if you can't make the commitment, you simply won't last. Staffing and scheduling can be an ongoing stress point.

Advice to Management

Improve turnover, reduce manager workload, improve and streamline systems.

    Pros

    Flexible schedule (sometimes), fun coworkers.

    Cons

2% maximum raise each year (except for director level and higher). Constantly adding additional tasks to job description with no change in hours or pay. Very low starting pay attracts only those without the necessary qualifications. Clinical management refuses Needed repairs and upgrades, then blames the biomedical department for the aftermath.

    Advice to Management

Think about how the actions you take now may affect the road ahead. Yes, 30k is a lot to spend on chairs, but how much does it cost when medicare shuts a clinic down for the condition it's in? The yearly cuts in benefits cause good employees to leave and the bad to stay. Don't tell employees they'll only get a 2% raise after a record year, and then show up in a limousine to visit a high performing clinic.

  2. Amazing-- some of the nicest, most professional people in the business workplace.

    Pros

Incredibly efficient workers, gave me incredible responsibility

    Cons

There are so many chains of command that things can sometimes take too long

    Advice to Management

Lessen the positions of power that projects need to get passed through in order to expedite things
