    I worked at Fresenius Medical Care - North America as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

    Some of the people I worked closely with were decent but most were "out there".

    Cons

    Very little direction from management and they need to have their fingers in everything. People were always very careful with everything they said even behind closed doors. The IT teams are very task specific, groups are silo's. Management think they can do everyones job yet they are very non technical. Their benefits are very poor compared to other companies as well as PTO. Vacation and sick leave are used from the same pool of available time. It really irked me when I was given a number as my user ID. I guess when you have over 90k employees worldwide everyone is just a number.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire people that are competent and not just yes men. You have to pay people what they are worth and not what your corp HR thinks on that particular day.
