Pros

- Great place to gain experience and learn - Decent benefits - Tuition reimbursement - Stable company and industry - Opportunities for advancement

Cons

- Average compensation - Generous vacation days but holidays are treated as vacation - All information is given on a need to know basis - Overtime required especially at month end

Advice to Management

- Management should better compensate their employees. Non-confidential information should be shared with people who need it. Operations management should have a more balanced mix between people with business and clinical backgrounds.

    Pros

Engineering is decent, but definitely not a top-notch development shop. The people are great and often work together, in spite of management, in order to get the job done.

    Cons

There is a culture of CYA (cover your a$$), rather than a desire to do a good job. No capacity for ongoing education which means the engineers either leave (the good ones) or become stagnant in their skills and the latest technology. IT Management is completely short-sighted and has no trust in their people; the trust is missing because the engineers often fail to deliver due to top-down, carelessly date-driven project deadlines with ZERO input from the people that do the work. Management sees its employees as cogs in a wheel rather than a team of people that are not interchangeable. Management often talks the talk of iterative development and transparency in the process but completely undercut their people with ridiculous deadlines based on fantasy. The engineering teams often have to devise strategies to manage upwards in order to get the job done; often circumventing policy and process. It is amazing anything is ever successful here. When it is, it is in spite of management, not because of management.

    Advice to Management

Fire all IT VPs. They are clueless, have little regard for their people and, most glaringly, think they now the technology landscape but introduce solutions based on 30 year old technology. Listen and USE your architects and engineers to guide your process. Introducing a new process isn't a solution when the problem is micro-management.

    Pros

All dialysis centers need staff that want to care about the patients. FMCNA offers some good benefits and the coverage is reasonable.

    Cons

The saying missery loves company should be the companies motto in jacksonville. The turnover rate of employees says it all. It would be nice if they could step up and reflect their mission statement. If you are looking for a career that is challenging and rewarding renal is the answer but, not with this company in the jacksonville area.

    Advice to Management

wake up. you really need to do a good bit of house cleaning that has been ignored for many years from what I have been told as well as what I have seen. Hopefully you will do so soon before you take a loss of the small amount for good caregivers you still have.
