I have been working at Frontier Airlines full-time for more than a year

Pros

benefits packages are nice. approx $375 per month for Aetna BC/BS Health Ins. Dental, Vision etc. Employees and dependents fly free and employees get 28 buddy passes per year.

Cons

HIGH turnover! Very little room for mistakes or everyday life happenings. Constantly being OVER micro managed. Low pay for the stiff upper lip you must have to keep your job. People drop like flies!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Either start acting human or get rid of your entire staff. You all suck! It is nearly harassing how you run things! Here's another idea...make sure all of your "new" systems work before you make us all use them on a daily basis: Avaya Phone problems, Flyfrontier website, Empower quirks and ability to access from home. It's like a bunch of monkeys are running this show. Get some class, you will probably get better results. The Supervisors are GREAT it's the ones above them that need to go!

A company bought and sold at the expense of a few good employees and customers

I worked at Frontier Airlines full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A select few great employees, skilled at their positions
Great management at the Supervisor level
Had a lot of locations to fly to with benefits

    Cons

Management above supervisor level had no idea how to run a dept/the entire company
Consistent HR issues including failures in FMLA, vacation/sick pay, paycheck issues (check doesn't show up), insurance, and other benefits
Nearly all policies are written to put employees in unfair positions including scheduling, use of sick/ vacation hours, and disciplinary
Near inability of full-time employees to use flight benefits

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change business model back to caring about passengers
Stop wasting time and money promoting a "feel-good" atmosphere and then breaking all promises and relationships with ground level employees

Best treated as just a job, not the best or worst airline, or place to work.

I worked at Frontier Airlines full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The best reason to work at Frontier is that it is in Denver, a fact that the company trades heavily on. An OK place to get experience, plan to move on if no improvement seen.

    Cons

Constant struggle with management, low and mid level. Most seem to be putting in time till they can qualify for a job at another airline. Directors seem to think that regulations do not apply to them and that rules, company and otherwise, are obstacles to be disregarded or worked around. HR department now shows absolute disdain for current and prospective employees, the very worst I have ever dealt with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your employees are more intelligent than you believe. You are at best distrusted by them, some have much stronger negative feeling toward you. Accept this and the very real reasons for these feelings, then do whatever it takes to change and improve the situation. You will not acquire or keep the best people with the current HR department staff, big changes needed here.
