I have been working at Fugro Geoconsulting

Pros – -40 hr week 99% of the time.
-Talented and proven performers are rewarded with very flexible work schedules. So long as you get your stuff done to a high level of quality, you can come and go as you please.
-Creativity and innovation are supported by the management, so long as profit margin remains positive for the project.
-Technical and management promotion tracks.
-Excellent equipment and software.
-Mix of short and long term projects from every part of the globe.
-Office politics are minimal.
-Travel and offshore work are officially "optional", but sometimes there is pressure to (but does come with extra compensation).
-Good well trained management.

Cons – -Compensation is not as good as the major oil companies.
-Official performance reviews are sporadic (every few years).

Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work.
